Create an account
You can create an account in several ways. If you already have an ORCID or GitHub account we recommend the following options:
- Sign up with ORICD: Use your ORCID account to quickly create an account.
- Sign up with GitHub: Use your GitHub account to quickly create an account.
If not, you can create an account directly on Zenodo:
- Sign up with local account: Create a local account by choosing a password.
We advise you to sign up with either GitHub or ORCID and make sure you have enabled two-factor authentication on either GitHub or ORCID for added security. Local accounts on Zenodo do not support two factor authentications.
Sign up with ORCID

Click the orange "Sign up" button in the header.

Click the "Sign up with ORCID" button.

You will be redirected to https://orcid.org and asked to sign in.

Finalise the sign up by providing your email address. A email with confirmation instructions is sent to the provided email address. You MUST confirm your email address in order to be able to make your first upload.

Sign up with GitHub

Click the orange "Sign up" button in the header.

Click the "Sign up with GitHub" button.

You will be redirected to https://github.com and asked to sign in and authorize the Zenodo application.

Sign up with local account

Click the orange "Sign up" button in the header.

Fill in the username, full name, affiliation, email address and password. The password must be minimum 6 characters long. Finish by clicking "Sign up".

If the sign up was successful, you will be redirected to the front page. A email with confirmation instructions is sent to the provided email address. You MUST confirm your email address in order to be able to make your first upload.
